The Choice opens in the marketplace of Capernaum, a small Israeli town where we meet a young Roman centurion, Marcus, who has fallen in love with a beautiful Jewish girl, Hannah. She is a follower of the Jewish rabbi, Jesus, from Nazareth, while Marcus serves Caesar and the Roman government.

When the rising prominence of Jesus and His followers begins to threaten Roman rule, Marcus, as a centurion, becomes involved with the events that lead to the crucifixion of Jesus.  Yet as a young man in love with a follower of Jesus, Marcus is drawn to consider not only the miracles and teachins of Jesus, but to choose for himeslr, which path to follow.  The reality that Jesus may indeed be the Son of God creates a crossroad for Marcus...an eternal choice hangs in the balance.
